Colors for Spring

Spring is a huge boom in the world of fashion. Well, it is in the North. The first few days you can step outside of your house without being burried nose deep in a coat and sweater is a great day. It also means a fresh turn for spring fashion. Spring usually brings new colors. One thing I've noticed for sure is that the last few years have produced some very muted dull colors in fashion. I know, style is always recycled, but my favorite part of the style is when the bright pastels come out. The true bright pastels aren't here yet, but gosh this springs styles are getting better!
One of the first hints of the fashion colors for the coming year is in children's clothes, and this years easter dresses are a big hit!

The colors are much brighter and happier. We're seeing floral print design, BIG floral print. We love floral print over heavy fabrics such as taffeta and jaquard. It feels warm, happy, and tropical while keeping the appearance of quality fabric. (We stay away from the Walmart look with cheap fabrics)

The bubble dress is in. This is usually a style for older girls, and we haven't seen it for quite some time in the childrens collection. I don't know why. It is adorable!! It's perfect for a dressy party without going to formal. It's also usually a light spring cut while staying age appropriate. We're big on the age appropriate reminder.

Of course, you know, by reading our blog we specialize in Flower Girl Dresses. Here's a good article breaking down some flower girl dress styles. It's a new one on the web so some of the info will be fresh to one's eye. This flower girl dress article will give you tips on who's who in the higher class American designers.

Cheers, and have fun cyber shopping!
